Consistency in testing shouldn't be a constant struggle. It should be the default. We believe the key isn't to work harder, but to remove the friction that makes the work difficult in the first place. This month, we took a hard look at those time-consuming, repetitive tasks that get in the way. Our goal was simple: make your workflow smoother, so building a consistent testing process feels natural and easy.
End the Copy-Paste Hassle with Global Shared Parameters
Look, we’ve all been there. Manually adding the same list of devices, environments, or user roles to every single test case. It’s repetitive, a huge source of human error, and (let's be honest) a nightmare to update.
So we built Global Shared Parameters. No more manually adding devices or environments to every single test case. Now you can:
- Define them once, use them everywhere: Build a central library for your most-used parameters.
- Update in one place: Change a parameter in the library, and it updates across your entire test suite. Instantly.
- Stop worrying about typos: Ensure every test runs with the correct, standardized configurations.
- Still have full control: Need an exception for a specific test? Just convert it to a local parameter. No problem.
It’s a simple change that means better consistency, zero duplication, and one central place to manage your test parameters.

AIDEN is Now Even Smarter
Your AI sidekick, AIDEN, has been leveling up. We've recently rolled out significant enhancements to AIDEN's core intelligence. Two big things to show for it:
- Sharper Selector Identification: AIDEN is now way more accurate at identifying the right UI elements from the start. This means you can trust your automated tests more and spend less time on those annoying manual tweaks.
- It Understands Color: You can now automate test steps that rely on visual cues. Things like, "Verify the 'Success' button is green." AIDEN now gets hex codes, which unlocks a whole new class of visual validation tests that used to be a pain to automate.
Think about a test case you previously thought was too complex for AI. Now AIDEN can take care of it.
Take Full Control of Your AIDEN Spending
As more of your team starts using AIDEN, you need predictable costs. We want to ensure you have complete control over your spending. To give you greater peace of mind, you can now set a simple monthly spending limit for any extra credits your team uses.
Once you set a budget, that’s it.
- Stay Within Budget: You’ll never spend more than your chosen amount.
- Enable Your Team: Your team can keep working without worrying about overages.
- Track Usage: You can see exactly how credits are being used all month.
It takes 30 seconds to set up on your billing page (admin only). Just find the "Extra credit usage" toggle in the AIDEN section, click "Edit budget," and set your limit.

Fine-Tuned Reporting for a Clearer Picture
Your test results are only as good as the story they tell. We’ve rolled out key improvements to our reporters and CLI tool to ensure you get the exact data you need, right where you need it.
- Filter Python Reporter Results: Implemented filtering by status when uploading results in Python reporters, so you can cut through the noise and focus on what matters.
- Add External Links in JS Reporters: Added the ability to add external links to automated runs created by JS reporters, closing the loop between your test run and your CI/CD pipeline.
- Ignore Results in Qasectl: Added an ignore parameter to the Qasectl tool, giving you more granular control over which test results you upload.
Happy testing!
Our goal for August was to remove friction. At the end of the day, you can't have consistency when your process gets tripped up by a dozen tiny frustrations. That’s the friction we aimed to eliminate this month. Whether it's setting up parameters just once or having a clear, predictable budget, these changes are all about giving you a smoother path to a more consistent testing process.
