Qase Product Updates: October 2025

October was about turning the dial up on confidence. In quality assurance, the greatest drain isn't the work itself. It's the nagging doubt: Did I update all the test cases? Will the AI fail this run? Is this data secure for my next audit?

We heard you. This month, we didn't just ship features. We delivered solutions designed to quiet the anxiety, remove the tedious mental load, and let you focus on what you do best: building amazing quality.

The theme this month? Scale with Confidence. Here's what’s new and how it gives you back your flow state.

Pillar 1: Reclaiming Your Time and Focus

Nothing kills a smart QA engineer's motivation faster than repetitive work. Our goal is to move you out of the copy-paste loop and into the high-leverage work that requires your expertise.

The Leap: AI-Powered Bulk Conversion

The transition from a manual repository to a fully automated one can feel overwhelming, a project so massive it causes automation paralysis. We just dismantled that wall by leveraging AIDEN's machine learning capabilities.

With AI-Powered Bulk Conversion, you can now select a group of manual test cases in your repository and invoke the 'Automate' command.

This isn't just about speed; it's about intelligent certainty. AIDEN performs a pre-flight complexity analysis on the selected cases. If a case lacks necessary preconditions or looks overly complicated for autonomous conversion, AIDEN provides an immediate exception report. This intelligent head-up saves you the frustration of an unsuccessful conversion attempt. It instantly clarifies which cases require minor human input versus those ready for seamless, AI-driven deployment. While the automation pipeline executes the conversion, you stay on the page and track progress via the notification widget.

This is what flow state feels like: initiating a massive test debt reduction task with one click and having the AI handle the heavy lifting, friction-free.

Clone a Test Plan, Preserve Your Context

Ever start a new testing phase by saying, "It's exactly like the last one, but..." and then spending an hour meticulously recreating a plan? That's wasted cognitive energy. You can now clone an entire Test Plan in seconds, with or without the original assignees. You can even adjust the name before you hit clone, instantly giving you a stable, tested structure for your next effort.

Pillar 2: AIDEN: Confidence Grounded in Reality

When we talk about AI, we’ve found that the most important feature isn't the technology. It's trust. That's why we’re pulling back the curtain and sharing real, production numbers.

AIDEN's True Automation Rate: Over 60%

Most companies promise the world. We prefer to tell you what's actually happening on your screen. Based on real-world customer usage, our AI sidekick, AIDEN, is automating more than 60% of your manual boilerplate.

This figure isn’t from a perfect, controlled lab environment. It’s the messy, production-grade reality of testing. Think about that for a second.

What if you could free up more than half of your team's time from repetitive manual clicking, starting today?

  • What new, high-impact quality initiatives could you focus on?
  • How much faster could you ship code if your test debt was suddenly cut in half?

And the best part? That 60% represents real time savings that compound daily. Think about it: every sprint, every release cycle, that's 60% of your manual grunt work simply vanishing. The hours you're not spending clicking through repetitive test scenarios? Those become hours you can invest in exploratory testing, risk analysis or finally tackling that edge case you've been avoiding.

Pillar 3: Control and Peace of Mind

True scale requires governance and long-term security. These updates are about giving you the steering wheel and the safety net your enterprise needs.

Data Retention Add-On: Extend History When You Need It

Our default retention periods work for most teams. They're designed around the real-world cadence of modern development and standard compliance windows.

But we also know that some organizations operate under different rules. Maybe you're in a regulated industry. Maybe you need multi-year trend analysis to prove the ROI of your quality initiatives. Maybe your auditors live five years in the past.

The new Data Retention Add-on gives you that option: extend your test result history to 5 or 10 years for Startup and Business plans. You choose the retention window that matches your actual compliance needs, and the cost is transparent. It’s clearly tracked and prorated per regular user. No hidden fees, no surprises at renewal, just the peace of mind that your historical test data will be waiting when an auditor comes knocking or when you need to prove your quality trajectory over the long haul.

Linked Shared Steps: Eliminating Change Anxiety

Refactoring is a necessary evil, but knowing the true blast radius of a change is crucial. Now, when viewing a Shared Step, you can instantly see all of the test cases associated with that shared step. One click, and your repository filters to show the complete impact zone.

Stop guessing which tests might break. Now, you know the precise impact of your work instantly, giving you the confidence to refactor without fear.

Pillar 4: Precision Tools for the Automation Engineer

While the AI handles the big conversions, we know our automation engineers need constant, fine-tuned improvements to their daily tools. This month, we doubled down on making your reporters and integrations cleaner and more flexible.

  • Expanded Framework Support: We've updated our reporters to support the latest tools you rely on: Mocha Reporter now supports Mocha 11, and our Cypress Reporter is updated for the new version of Cucumber tests. Stay current without breaking your Qase integration.
  • Flexible Logging & Defaults: You now have the ability to flexibly manage logging in all reporters and change the default status of results. This means cleaner console output and tighter control over initial result states, right from your code.
  • QaseCTL Cleanup: We’ve implemented attachment filtering when uploading results into QaseCTL. Say goodbye to irrelevant files clogging your test runs.
  • Public Test Runs from Reporters: You can now make test runs public in all reporters, providing a quick and easy way to share results with external stakeholders or non-Qase users immediately after a run completes.

This October, we focused on replacing uncertainty with confidence and replacing toil with flow. We're incredibly proud of what the team delivered, and we remain dedicated to evolving Qase into the most empowered and intuitive QA platform on the market.

These additions make it easier to integrate Qase into your existing workflows and maintain connections between your testing and project management tools.

Happy testing!
